Naevi and melanoma studies

The Dermatology Research Centre is at the forefront of naevi and melanoma research both nationally and internationally.

Several cutting edge research projects and collaborations are being conducted in this area and include:

  • Centre of Research Excellence for the Study of Naevi

    November 2015–May 2021
  • Australian Centre of Excellence in Melanoma Imaging and Diagnosis

    A program aimed at the early detection of melanoma through a targeted screening
  • Immunohistochemistry and other molecular analysis of phenotypically charaterised equivocal melanocytic proliferations study

  • International Skin Imaging Collaboration (ISIC) Melanoma Project

  • 3D QMelanoma -Targeted early detection of melanoma utilising a 3D teledermatology (3DT) network

  • A genomics spproach for screening of patients at high risk of melanoma
