Ongoing project co-ordinated by the Queensland Perineural Research Group
Aim of the study: To establish an up to date registry of management, outcomes and surveillance of patient's diagnosed with skin cancer complicated by perineural invasion in Queensland. To identify outcomes relating to perineural invasion in BCC, SCC, keratoacanthoma (KA) and melanoma.
Status: Ongoing collaboration with private specialists to enhance patient recruitment, with intention of expanding recruitment to include public patients from the PAH to increase cohort size. Improvement of the registry to better reflect treatment modalities in use and outcomes observed. Preliminary results will be published once 100 patients are recruited. The registry will run for a minimum of 5 years looking to extend to 10 years. Human ethics approval has been granted until the end of 2020
