Mobile health and skin cancer prevention - what's new?

Associate Professor Lois Loescher, a behavioural scientist from the Skin Cancer Institute at the Arizona Cancer Center, The University of Arizona, Tuscon, USA, will present a seminar entitled "Mobile health and skin cancer prevention - what's new?"

A/Prof Loescher will present on the use of mobile technology in skin cancer prevention and early detection. Many applications and e-health interventions have been developed for use in the skin cancer prevention setting, but what are their target aims, and do they achieve these aims? A/Prof Loescher will reflect on the theoretical bases that guide e-health interventions and evaluations, and present an overview of behavioural models and areas for improvements.

A/Prof Loescher has a distinguished career focusing on the development of skin cancer prevention and early detection programs and intervention materials. She will be in Brisbane from the 8th - 16th September as the 2016 Researcher in Residence for the Centre of Research Excellence for the Study of Naevi.
