Skin and Skin Cancer Seminar: Lesion Analysis, Lesion Tracking, and AI: Innovations in Whole Body Imaging

4 April 2019
12:30pm
Translational Research Institute, Room 2007

Speaker: Brian D’Alessandro, Ph.D., Image Analysis Research Scientist, Canfield Scientific

Recent innovations in both 2D & 3D body mapping have allowed unprecedented ability to track and monitor skin lesions over time. With the Vectra WB360, IntelliStudio, and DermaGraphix software, practical automated tools are being put in place to build an efficient workflow for dermatologic imaging in clinical practice and research. Furthermore, advanced artificial intelligence algorithms are being developed to automatically classify skin lesions. Together, these technologies are pushing the state of the art in dermatology and allow a fascinating breadth of possibilities.
